Everyone needs to pick up some Shakespeare. And read Richard III, I read it twice this week and I'm about to read it again. Although I have many many other Shakespeare plays to poets, I think Richard III is about my favorite, above even Hamlet.
Actually Richard III is the most played and favorite among readers, although actually not alot of people know Richard III.
"A Horse, A Horse, My Kingdom For A Horse!"
Recognize it?
Come on, the hump-back deformed duke of gloucester anyone?

I prefer Much Ado About Nothing or The Tempest myself*smiles*I guess my love of Shakespeare led to my love of Renaissance Faires for where else can I go speak Shakespearean English and not be laughed at?

I loved Richard III. Though it tied with me with two others. Which is Hamlet and Much Ado About Nothing.

Oh mercy my cleft heart. I LOVE Hamlet and Much Ado About Nothing is wonderful. But nothing gets me like some good old fashioned bad guys like Richard III. Still and always will be one of my favorite Shakespeare plays. Then again I always was a closet shakespeare reader back in Middle School, I didn't start preeching about it till High School when chicks digged it, then they started to like cars and stuff. *drops head* LoL.
You know Kenneth Brannagh does beautiful films off Shakespeare if ye like Richard III then I recommend Looking For Richard (no not just because Al Pacino is in it *buffs nails*) It's really great for understanding the play, its a VERY diffacult play, took me a few times to get it. This film is like a documentry/film/history kind of thing on Richard III, it really gives a nice indepth coverage.

Geekette after my own heart.
I think you'd like Kenneth Brannagh's film "Much Ado About Nothing" Not like that crappy new Hamlet, this one sticks to time era, old english, and to the play. I even sometimes read along with the film. Cause... I'm a dork but that isn't the point. :]

*Raises hand* Also has the Complete works. Though my personal favorites were The Taming of the Shrew, and Othello. Othello makes me cry every time. *Sniff* Yeah, I was a closet-geek about Shakespeare when I was in highschool... I used to think that memorizing the sonnets was a fun ordeal...

What's hawt? That I could recite over 20 of his Sonnets once upon a time, or that I could correct the English Literature teacher when she tried to recite Shakespeare's work? *Hugs Serpi back*

I agree, everyone needs to read something by Shakespeare. I love Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet. I took 2 or 3 classes about Shakespeare in college. That were absolutely wonderful.
And Kenneth Brannaugh does wonderful Shakespeare movies!!!
You should see Rennaisance Man, They talk about Shakespeare in there a lot.

I used to have so many of them memorised. So, when I went to Shakespeare class, she would have us go up there and I'd freeze. Literally. All the words I knew completely by heart flew out the window and I was brain dead. lol Scared out of my mind. Only thing that kept me from running was that it was a grade. lol She always gave me good grades though because she knew I had them memorised. I loved my teacher. lol Anyhow, Othello I loved it too. Taming of the Shrew though will forever be stuck in my mind as my most embarrassing moment in Shakespeare class. Knew it, went up all like I was gonna do it. We had to do it alone and dress up. Damn........ I about ran out of the room cause everyone was so quiet and staring at me. I about died. My friends kept me there and helped me with it. I thought I was gonna pass out from an anxiety attack. *nods*
