First, let me say that I LOVE reading!! Everyone talks about addictions,.....reading and books is seriously mine. I can't walk into a bookstore without buying a book.
Ok, with that said, here are some of my favorites:
Harry Potter-All 6! If you haven't read them, you definitely should. They are soo great. My favorites are listed in this order (1 being my favorite). 1-Half Blood Prince 2-Prisoner of Azkaban 3-Order of the Phoenix 4-Goblet of Fire 5-Sorcerer's Stone 6-Chamber of Secrets
(1 & 2 were tied for a bit, but I think I like HBP better than PoA)
I also like books by James Patterson. The ones I like the best from him are 1st to Die, 2nd Chance, and 3rd to Die. These are about these 4 women who are all at the top of their male dominated professions: Homicide Dectective, Coroner, District Attorney, and Journalist. It's really good....I would say that they are mystery, and suspense. I highly reccommend them.
I also like Nicholas Sparks. My favorites that I have read by him so far are A Bend In The Road, and The Rescue.

ooooo, another good one that I really enjoyed is Tuesdays With Morrie, by Mitch Albom.
From inside the book jacket:
"Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it.
For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly twenty years ago.
Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded, and the world seemed colder. Wouldn't you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you, receive wisdom for your busy life today the way you once did when you were younger?
Mitch Albom had that second chance. He rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man's life. Knowing he was dying, Morrie visited with Mitch in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final "class": lessons in how to live.
Tuesdays with Morrie is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie's lasting gift with the world. "

I've not read the harry potter books yet, but I love James Patterson. And its 1st to Die, 2nd Chance, and 3rd Degree. I cried so hard when...wait... no spoilers... they gotta read it for themselves... but yeah, LOVE him. All his books. Cant wait to read the next in the series, 4th of July... *Squees!*

Holding out for paperback, indeed. I'm too poor to snag the hardbacks... *Sniff* Though I'd really want them. I read the first three while I was in jail, so I wanna go buy those when I get the cash... might be able to get all 4 by the time I'm able... just go in and sweep up the whole series. *Daydreams of the day..*

I've read all, but the most recent Happry Potter book. *frowns* Cause I'm poor and can't buy it. *smiles* Love the series though. *nods* I haven't read the other ones though. Hell, I still need to finish the Wheel Of Time Series and the Dark Tower Series. *shakes her head* I don't like being poor.

Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy is absolutely wonderful as well. The three books in the series are The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and the Amber Spyglass. They are fantasy, I guess one could say, but not overly much so, as I do not like a lot of fantasy books....kinda like Harry Potter, but definitely not. ~laughs~ well, some people like these better than the Harry Potter books,....me, I like them both, but couldn't compare them.......but I highley reccommend them!!!
