[glow=red,2,300] It was late May. I can remember because the flowers were in full bloom in Cedrick, a village along the Morroco River. I had camped out along the east bank, acrossed from the town.
As I awoke the one morning I noticed the water was a strange color. As I moved closer to it I realized that it was purple instead of its crystal clear it should have been. I sat up straight hearing footsteps. He dropped down behind me. He said my name but I wasn't there long enough to hear him. I ran faster then I ever had.
My heart was in my throat the entire time. Winding around trees and rocks I eventually slowed down as the forestry got thicker. When I stopped I looked about and clung to my weapons. I wasn't scared. But I wasn't going to let him win then. I wasn't ready to see him. Not yet, not after all the innocent lives he took. I felt a hand on my shoulder before I could utter one more thought as I turned in a rigid state he looked down at me. His hair was a golden brown, his eyes a bright blue with gold lining the pupil.
My heart stopped those eyes. Why were they reading me so? He asked me why I was running and when I told him it was nothing. He didn't believe me but nodded anyway. His lips were firm and tight with purpose. I wanted to know who he was, why he was there. He looked at me as if he read me like a book and was turning the pages. His jaw set faintly shaping his lean expression. He told me he was Tidus Alexander Demarco-whom I later found was Tidus Alexander Demarco the 23rd-a man from Cedrick who had been out and about but returned to the village. He wanted to travel with me. Wanted to see the world as I saw it. Wanted to watch as I searched for the mysterious man whom had attack both villages. His and Mine.
Tidus stood about 6 foot tall and had this well-shaped body that could melt anything and anyone. He was brilliant...his wit had no match in all that I had met. He scared me from the bottom of my toes to the top of my longest lash. Something inside me told me to run, yet my feet were like cement and wouldn't move. My eyes were locked on his as if I were in a trance. I shook loose and moved. I couldn't take his offering of kindness. But I would let him come as long as he did not interfere. He said he needed to return to the village. He left, and I soon followed. Walking slow, thinking my own thoughts and nothing more.
Humbly I return to find a pile of dead bodies left for the animals in the middle of the village. Some of the buildings had been burnt but not demolished. My brain flashed reminices of the previous villages burning and the screams pounded on my eardrums. Quickly my heart leaped as a noise came out of the air. I turned to find Tidus standing there with his eyes full of anger. He pointed a finger. Accusing me he lunged for me but when I showed a blank expression and no movement of retreat or remorse he stopped himself. I thought my heart would never start beating again. We stood together and looked around at the ruined town ..now a burial grounds for those who died so innocently. With a flicker of my eyes I went in and out of the buildings taking what I needed and leaving the rest, Tidus doing the same from what I could tell. We met again on the east bank, our eyes met and we knew ..both of us knew right then that this had to be stopped. We ventured into the forest..alone...and him still a mystery to me. I feared him and he knew this.
About a fortnight later, we were camped in the middle of the trench along the mountains of Khanada. He was watching as I rested with my eyes open as I always did. I rolled over to close them for a moment and when I looked again he was gone. I listened and I heard some distanct splashes..I crept towards the sound and found him sitting cloaked in nothing but nakedness..my eyes drank of his nudeness. He was well developed as my eyes ran him over like a rake on barren fields. I wanted to touch..my hands burned. My innocence made me recoil and my face glow a slight shade of crimson, as my curiousity had me on the edge of insanity. He didn't look up, he didn't have to. He knew I was there. He told me to come down and join him. He was not ashamed of his lack of coverings. He was a Pirate...he had the markings. My Tattoo on my arm started to glow as I climbed towards the water. He watched me amused at my timidness. I could feel his eyes drop over ever inch of my structure. I could feel goosebumps cover me as I stood next to him but far enough I couldn't touch him. I knew that if I was close. I would want to slide my hands over his golden body.. He looked at me with those eyes and smiled. SMILED. I couldn't move I was possessed. I compelled myself with all the strength I could conjure and moved on slowly removing my cloak and dress. My body grew rigid feeling his eyes pry to see what was hidden under my bodice. I wanted to shrink into a shell and deminish but I stood letting him look. As he watched I let my red hair down and drew in a slow breath..before slowly walking into the water and squatting down to wash I felt a sigh escape my lips. He stood...and I had to bite my lip as to not look up at him. He walked toward me and I could hear my heart racing in my ears. He took one of his hands and skimmed a finger along my shoulder bone. I raised my head and looked at him then. His eyes sparkled like the man's who had burned my village. A flash back came to me through mind-sight. I saw the dark man just as I did that day. My body and eyes went dark, and cloudy. Tidus said my name but I did not hear it. I couldn't. I backed up and moved away. Picking up my clothes as I went and left him in utter silence and myself in torment.
The next morning he was his usual arrogant self, back to the way it was. He didn't have the gentleness to him. He did however stand close as we traveled.[/glow]
